DERMATEG is a personal care brand. We make dermalip, our unflavored nourishing lip ointment, in Ohio, USA, and sell it directly to customers through dermateg.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit or order, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

We keep this simple: we collect what we need to make and ship your order, and nothing we collect is sold or shared with advertising networks.

Information you give us

• Order details — your name, email address, shipping address, phone number if you provide one, and the bundle you selected.
• Payment details— card information is entered directly into our payment processor’s secure form. We receive only a confirmation, the card brand, and the last four digits. We never see or store your full card number.
• Support messages — anything you send us through the contact form or by email, including a reaction or product safety report.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the store we record technical details such as your browser and device type, approximate region, the pages you view, and the actions you take — items added to the bag, checkouts started, orders completed. How we use your information

• To take payment for, pack, and ship your order from Ohio.
• To send transactional email — order confirmation, shipping and tracking updates, delivery notices, and refund confirmations.

Who we share it with

We share only what each provider needs to do its job, under contract, and never for their own advertising:

• Shipping carriers — your name, address, and contact details so your parcel can be delivered and tracked.
• Our email delivery provider — to send order and shipping emails from our domain.
• Our commerce platform — which hosts dermateg.com and processes analytics on our behalf.
• Professional and legal — our accountants and, where legally required, regulators or law enforcement. If the business is ever sold or reorganized, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Email you receive from us

Order-related emails are part of the service and are sent whenever you place an order. We only send promotional email if you have specifically opted in, and every promotional message includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not stop order and shipping notifications.

Cosmetic safety reports

If you contact us about a reaction to or a problem with one of our products, we keep a record of that report, the batch involved, and our correspondence with you. Cosmetic safety rules require us to hold these records, and we may need to include them in a report to regulators. We keep them separate from marketing use.

How long we keep it

• Order and payment records — retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Support correspondence — up to two years after your inquiry is resolved.
• Analytics data — up to one year, in aggregate form.
• Product safety records — for the period required by cosmetic regulations.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. You can also withdraw cookie consent at any time using Manage Cookies at the bottom of any page. We do not charge for these requests and we will not treat you differently for making one.

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

EEA and UK residents additionally have the right to data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Please note we currently ship only within the contiguous United States, so orders are placed and fulfilled there.

To make a request: Email us at support@dermateg.com. We may need to confirm a detail from your order before we can act, so that we do not disclose your information to someone else. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Security

The store runs over an encrypted connection, card details are handled entirely by our payment processor, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to run the business. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

Children

DERMATEG products and this store are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change — a new provider, a new use of your data — we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it before the change takes effect.
