Our Story

DERMATEG was founded in 2026 with a straightforward frustration: the lip aisle asked you to choose between cheap and forgettable, or expensive and precious. Nothing in between actually felt good to use twice a day, every day.

dermalip is our answer — a high-potency nourishing ointment that cushions dry lips on contact and stays comfortable for hours. Every stick is made in the USA, in a facility held to standards most lip balms never bother to mention.

Why It Has No Flavor

Almost every balm on the shelf is flavored, and it is worth asking who that serves. Flavor invites licking. Licking strips away what little moisture is left. The dryness returns, so you reapply — and it reads as the product working, when what you are really feeling is a loop the product created.

So we left it out. No flavor oils, no menthol, no camphor, no cooling or plumping agents — nothing added to manufacture a sensation on contact. dermalip is not trying to feel like something. It is trying to leave your lips better than it found them, which is a slower and much less theatrical thing to sell.

What it does have is scent, and we think that matters. Not added fragrance — the soft, natural smell that shea butter, coconut and apricot kernel oil carry on their own. It is subtle, it is a pleasure to use daily, and critically, it is nowhere near your tongue.

Our Formula

It starts with beeswax. Not as a filler, but as the backbone of the whole thing — it gives the stick its structure and leaves a breathable barrier on the lips that holds moisture in, so everything layered into it has time to actually work.

Around that base sits a blend of natural oils and butters — castor, organic coconut, grape seed, avocado and apricot kernel oils with shea butter — finished with vitamin E. One formula, one stick, no variations to weigh up. What is in it is there to nourish, and nothing is in it to be tasted.

Nothing we make is ever tested on animals, at any stage, and neither are the ingredients we build with. The active ingredients are clinically validated by the same lab that formulates and manufactures every stick — so what the label claims is something they have measured, not something we decided sounded good.

Every formula is stability tested before it ships, which is how we know the shelf life is real and how the stick behaves on the last swipe as well as the first. It is the unglamorous part of making something properly, and it is the reason we are comfortable selling one product instead of hiding behind ten.

Our Philosophy

We would rather make one product properly than ten in a hurry. Every formulation is built for lasting comfort, clean wear, and daily reliability — no unnecessary fillers, and nothing on the label we can't stand behind.

dermalip is the first of the range. Balms, creams, and more are in development, each one held to exactly the same standard.
